A new kind of energy outlet

Plug it in, turn it on, and it works. Nothing to think about. But, on the other side of the outlet are miles of wires, heavy electrical equipment, power plants, computers, thousands of people and years of planning.

From time to time in this space, we’ll explore the challenges facing the power grid. It’s a complex world where science meets public policy and economics. But, we’ll do our best to keep things conversational.
